Setting New Year’s resolutions are a tradition to most, but how many actually find they see the resolution through to the end. For me I am keeping things simple – my resolution is to get back to the basics. Spend more time with my family; take the time to do and enjoy the little things; and take time for things I need. Oftentimes we get so wrapped up in something larger than life that we forget to actually take the time for things that really matter. In the words of the great Benjamin Franklin, “Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that’s the stuff life is made of.” Happy New Year’s to everyone! May you enjoy your moments in life in 2014, both great and small!

My New Years Resolution is to try to get funding so we can hire more Wound Warrior Caregivers like myself. I have been through so much and being able to work has been a blessing to me. MSCCN has changed my life and I would like to see it change someone elses as well. Also I see a lot of important people and talk to a lot of important people due to my husband being a Wounded Warrior, I would like someone to please send me brochures so I can educate others about what a blessing this organization is and how it can benefit others as well. Thank you so much for your time. I hope you all Have A Happy New Year!

In 2013, my husband’s combative injuries and recovery taught me that it IS possible to find precious moments within those terrible times. And so, my New Year’s Resolution for 2014 is to attempt to find joy in every moment… the good ones and the bad.
Just for fun... My New Year’s resolution is to stop playing in the road with cars.
Note: The CASY and MSCCN staff commend Jennifer on continuing to commit herself to our mission while recovering after a terrible accident. We love you, Jennifer!

I want to better manage my time, maintain my weight, run a 5k and finish my book(s) in 2014.
My New Year's Resolution is to learn the art of saying no. In 2013, I overcommitted myself by saying yes to everything: volunteer commitments, freelance projects, extended family needs, etc and in the end, I spent the year stressed out with little time for what matters. In 2014, I am pledging to devote more time to slowing down, setting a date once a month to do something for myself, and embracing the moments of being with my children and my husband. Life moves so fast and it is important to enjoy all of the fun that comes along with raising a family, even the chaotic moments. And because time in the military life is such a precious commodity, I am going to make sure I spend 2014 making memories that will last. Happy New Year's All!
